Xin chao! Welcome to Vietnam. On arrival at your hotel you will receive a welcome pack with all the details related to your trip. Your Bite-size Break begins at 4.30pm. You will be collected by your leader for an evening exploration of Hanoi's lively street food scene. Wander through Dong Xuan market and the Old Quarter – surrounded by stalls and makeshift store fronts and scattered with little plastic chairs. See aromatic noodle soups whipped up in front of you, and taste smoky meats charred on hot coals. For dessert, tuck into some fresh fruit covered with crushed iced and condensed milk. After having your fill, walk to one of Hanoi’s best kept secrets – a hidden café with stunning views over the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake. Work it off with walk around the stalls of a rustic village market,  then stop for a wake-up coffee at a cafe thought to serve up the best cup in the area. Head to your next destination and learn to make the rare speciality of fermented pork cakes from a family that’s been doing it for three generations. Hit the road again after lunch and visit the Phat Diem church, then snack on goi nhech, a local speciality served with coconut wine at a local restaurant. Walk to a nearby family farm. Pick up a few tips on making rice wine, and perhaps lend a hand to feed their pigs! Finish the...
