Salaam Aleikum! Welcome to Morocco. Meet your group in the afternoon and later get to know each other during a trip to Marrakech's main square, where you'll find stalls packed with traditional Moroccan delicacies such as snail soup! Stroll through the market to find exotic snake charmers, henna painters and street performers. Your group will enjoy an introductory dinner before returning to the hotel to rest for your big second day. Note: We recommend flying in a day or two early to further explore Marrakech. Please let us know in advance if you'd like help booking any extra accommodation.

Fuel up with a big breakfast before heading out to explore the city by bike. Take part in a leisurely two and a half hour bike ride across the city, where you'll pedal past historical sites such as the King's Palace, Medina Market and the Koutubia Mosque. You will have a free afternoon to discover the everyday life of the local Marrakech people, either by shopping around the Medina or heading out on a food tasting tour.

Today head to the old fishing town of Essaouira, a charming white-washed spot by the Atlantic Ocean once popular with Orson Welles and Jimi Hendrix. On arrival you'll visit the main sites in town, such as the port and Jewish quarter, before tucking into a delicious seafood BBQ lunch. In the afternoon, saddle up for a horseback ride across Essaouira's white sandy beaches. Return to Marrakech in the evening for dinner.

Take a scenic drive up to the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, which form part of the Berber territories of the Ourika Valley. Here our experienced guides will prepare you for a thrilling downhill mountain bike ride. Depending on your experience, you will have a choice between faster downhill roads or easier beginners trails. Rest up with a classic Moroccan lunch of salads, tangines and freshly baked bread. In the evening, enjoy the hospitality of a local Berber family with an overnight stay in Aroumd.

Remember to pack your walking shoes because after breakfast you'll be trekking anywhere up to 2684 metres above sea level. There will be three trail options available, each treating you to sweeping views of the Imlil and Atlas Mountains. The group will decide on a trail to hike together. In the afternoon you'll descend into the valley behind the Imlil Mountains and return to Marrakech to put your feet up.

After a big week, recharge your batteries at traditional Hamman or if you like a steam room loosely translated as “spreader of warmth”. Moroccans would visit Hamman at least once a week for a ritual based body treatment that involves the steaming, scrubbing and massaging of the skin until it glows. In the afternoon, visit your favourite places in Marrakech, be it Djemaa el-Fna, Bahia palace or Majorelle Gardens. Re-group for a farewell dinner in the evening.

Sadly all good things come to an end. Your Moroccan adventure finishes after breakfast today. We suggest taking the time to savour the fascinating sights of Marrakech before you leave.
