Alex Hua Tian is an equestrian sportsman who competes in eventing for China. And in 2016 rio olympic games, he has taken center stage because of his groundbreaking record for Chinese equestrianism and his legendary story. Hua Tian was born in London to a Chinese father and a British mother, and started riding age four. Hua Tian is the only Chinese event rider competing internationally. He was coached by the former world champion Clayton Fredericks and his wife Lucinda Fredericks. At the 2009, Blenheim International Horse Trials, Hua Tian won the Best under-25 Prize and qualified for the World Equestrian Games in Lexington, September 2010. In November 2009, he won the inaugural HSBC Rising Star Award. Hua Tian won the silver medal of the individual event on his debut at the Asian Games in South Korea in Sept. 2014. Hua Tian wins 8th place in the Olympic equestrian event on August 9 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, and set a record for the country, China. “I can't believe it. The Don was very special this week,” he said of his horse, Don Geniro. “He is only nine years old and very inexperienced. This was a great week for me, for equestrian sport and for China.” And he hopes to continue to represent China at Tokyo 2020.
