TALK OUTLINE A majority of companies are today not selling a product, a technology or an App: They sell experiences. Since there are often many competitors in your area, doing almost exactly the same thing as you do with almost the same technologies (no matter, one of the most essential ways to differentiate today is to provide the absolute best experiences to your users. This applies no matter if you are a bank, a start-up App company or a company providing B2B systems. Many companies still believe that UX means a Visual designer that – often requested by SW – glues some nice graphics to the product before launching. This couldn’t be more wrong and this mistake will not only cost you a lot of great innovations and experiences, but it may also cost the company dearly on the bottom line. UX is not a function, it is a mindset and a way of thinking. User centered design is ways to become leading in your area and to create the best solution around – by putting your users and customers first, and based on this create innovations and experiences that will make your users smile – and pay/stay. In this session you will be introduced to what “true” UX and User Centered Design is, and how and why it matters. You will also get examples of companies getting the UX right, and those that did not get it right. ABOUT THE SPEAKER Christian Kraft is one of the most experienced UX persons in the mobile device industry, with almost 25 years doing UX, Interaction Design, User Centered Design and Innovation, many of the years with Nokia, currently as a consultant and co-founder of a start-up company - working out of Bangkok. He is author of the book "User Experience Innovation", he holds more than 120 patents and he has been designing User Interfaces and functionality that have been used by around 1 billion users.
