Was good experience with the family , they had a great buffet and a lovely cultural show with lots of animals , was nice to relax have some authentic Thai food and enjoy a great show and o end the night !
The show was fantastic and the overall set up of the park was good. Loved the elephants and the cultural experience. The meal was the only component that let it down with food cold.
So this is a local cultural show geared toward locals. There is a buffet dinner followed by a show. 1st off, the show doesn't start till 9 pm so no reason to come at 6 or 7 like a lot of the tour directors recommend. The place is like a small Disney or Universal Studios, so what they want is for you to come at 6:30 pm, eat the average buffet dinner, then spend an hour or 2 wandering around in the shops, taking elephant rides- basically spending more $. After you eat, they will let you into the show. They will make you surrender your cell phone/cameras to a check in desk if you admit you have them (no search or scan). After you pass this point, you will realize it is so they can charge for any pics you want inside. There are photo ops with pretty Thai princess type girls on thrones, etc, with a baby tiger that you will have to pay for. The show was 1-1.5 hr. It is a story about one the Thai deities I think, with elephants, a tiger, a magic show at intermission. Overall I think kids would enjoy it and if you need something to do 1 night is enjoyable enough.
When we landed at Phuket FantaSea show it was like walking into a fairy land.My suggestion is enter the place at least 2 hours before the start of show. There is plenty of things to see and shop around...

Huge and varied buffet dinner, served in huge and well organised dining hall.
The theme park not so good, for grown ups but on the whole well worth a visit.
