Due to weather forecasts showing very strong winds on Saturday afternoon and all day on Sunday, the International Rowing Federation (FISA) Executive Committee has decided to bring forward the races originally scheduled for Saturday at  World Rowing Junior Championships to take place on Friday morning, and the finals which were originally scheduled for Sunday will now take place on Saturday morning

This follows Thursday’s (6 August) decision to stage two rounds of racing that day

The races originally scheduled for Thursday morning remained the same, but the races that were originally scheduled for Friday morning were moved to Thursday afternoon

On Friday (7 August) morning, the FISA Executive Committee decided to make slight changes to the schedule for Saturday, based on the latest weather forecasts

The B finals will start at 9am, as planned, but with five-minute intervals

The A finals will start at 9

30am and have 13-minute intervals

The last final, the men's eight, will start at 12

06pm

 Ticket holders for Sunday will be fully reimbursed by the Rio 2016 Organising Committee

Those who purchased tickets online – around 90 per cent – will have the full amount automatically refunded to their account

Those who purchased tickets at the box office should return to the box office on Friday or Saturday for a refund

The box office will be open for refunds on Friday from 7am-2pm and on Saturday from 7am-4pm
