The Broadcast Training Programme (BTP) offers students the chance to be trained to work alongside international broadcast professionals during Rio 2016, giving participants practical experience and in-depth exposure to how the Olympics are broadcast

The training programme takes place in October and November 2015 and successful participants will then be considered for paid positions during Games time, employed by the IOC’s Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) company

Remuneration for paid positions will be R$250 (gross) per day of work

"We are offering not only a chance to learn and progress academically, but also the opportunity to work as a hired and paid professional during the Olympic Games

The work will be challenging, but it will represent a true recognition of achievement

Participants will also be gaining invaluable professional contacts, not to mention becoming true members of the Olympic family," said Yiannis Exarchos, Olympic Broadcast Services’ CEO
