If you have already been allocated tickets for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, act quickly: now’s the time to make your payment

If you were unlucky in the first draw, stay hopeful: you have priority in the second draw, so your chances are even higher this time around

The Rio 2016 Organising Committee has prepared a list of important reminders to guide fans through this, the first of three major phases of the ticket program

The next two phases start in October 2015, with direct online sales, and May 2016, when box office sales will open

Read on to find out more:First draw  - Those who were allocated tickets in the first draw and chose to pay by credit card don’t need to take any further action

This Monday 15 June, the system will automatically charge your registered credit card in up to five installments, according to the installment plan you chose when you placed your order

  - If there is a problem with your card on 15 June, you will be notified by e-mail on Tuesday 16 June

Following this, the system will try to charge your card again on the 20 and 26 June

If you receive an email notifying you of a problem with your card, you must act fast, as you will only have until 26 June to resolve the issue

If the system is still unable to charge your card at this third and final attempt, your order will be cancelled

Unlike credit card payments, debit cards will not be charged automatically

If your payment has not been received by 26 June, your order will be cancelled

  - Those who were allocated tickets in the first draw and chose to pay via the virtual solution must upload the total payment amount to their virtual solution account by 26 June

After the balance has been confirmed in your virtual solution account, you must then complete your payment on the Rio 2016 site, otherwise your ticket order will be cancelled

Please leave plenty of time to upload the balance to your virtual solution page, as it may take up to three days for the funds to appear in your account

Once a ticket has been purchased on the platform, the seller will be refunded 100% of the ticket price

Second draw  - Applications will open on 1 July

  - Only fans who applied for tickets in the first draw and were unsuccessful, as well as those who were successful in the first draw and completed their payments on time, will be eligible to take part in the second draw

  - Those who were unsuccessful in the first phase of ticketing will have priority in the second

         - To take part in the second draw, you will be required to make a new application, selecting from the remaining sessions available
