The Seoul International Fireworks Festival is held in early October of each year in front of the 63 City Building at Yeouido Hangang Park. The Busan International Fireworks Festival is annually held in Gwangalli Beach and is one of the most significant firework festivals in Asia. Starting in 2005 to celebrate the Asian-Pacific Economics Cooperation Summit the festival has grown to attract over 1 million visitors each year. The festival offers cultural events, high-tech laser light shows, and unique colorful fireworks. Although most people go to the beach for a closer view, the nearby Hwangnyeongsan Mountain also offers a great view of the fireworks.
